Be informed and buy carefully.

We warn about companies with slick websites containing photo-shopped pictures, websites that seem to offer everything you want; factory-direct sales, very low prices, free delivery, made in America, great guarantee, readily available service, etc.  Lots of flowery testimonials, too.

An example is this company (to the right) which sells LED signs on Ebay "factory-direct."  They advertise on Google, Bing, and many internet sites, too.

They used to say that their signs were UL listed, and that they had a Better Business Bureau A+ rating, until UL and the BBB both found out and made them remove these false claims.

Nice website, but Google their address to see if you think they can actually do all the things they say they can. Their "factory" is the upstairs business in the Google picture on the right; the one with with the Chinese-made led signs in their windows, but no main sign.  Click on the picture and expand it get a closer look.

There are lots of people like this out there. We highly recommend you do a little research on their company before sending any money. One of the best things you can do is visit their facility, if that is available to you. If not, at least google their address and make sure they HAVE a facility! Be informed and buy carefully.
