Vacuum-Formed Monument Sign Faces & Pan-Formed Sign Faces
Vacuum-formed and pan-formed sign faces deliver unmatched durability and true 3D visual impact for monument signs and channel letters.
Before flexible faces existed, large plastic faces needed formed ribs to survive wind. Raising lettering and borders was the strongest and best-looking method – especially with soft Lexan®/polycarbonate that bows or blows out when flat.
Today most large signs use flexible material, so vacuum-forming is rare – but nothing matches the premium look and strength of properly formed acrylic or polycarbonate.
True deep-formed faces look high-end; shallow “blister” forming (2-3") is used mainly on low-cost program signs.
