Free LED Sign Pre-Programming for Same-Day Operation

While your LED sign is being manufactured, we work with you to collect your initial messages, create your approved static or animated slides and program the sign in advance. You do not need to install or configure the software yourself.

When installation is complete and power is turned on, your sign is ready to display your approved messages. Your team receives on-site training to create, publish and schedule future messages, with ongoing remote assistance from our technicians.

Initial pre-programming, software setup, on-site training and ongoing remote support are included.

Static Slides and Animated LED Sign Messages

Sunburst LED signs can display static message slides and messages with animated backgrounds. Static slides keep an announcement on screen without movement; animated content adds motion to your presentation. We help you choose content and timing appropriate for your display and location.

Use animation, video, transitions and message-change intervals only as permitted by the requirements for your sign location.

Display Website Content and Live Updates on Your LED Sign

With a compatible controller and internet connection, your Sunburst LED sign can display a selected area of a website. Updating that website content can also update the content shown on your sign, reducing duplicate work when you manage both a website and one or more digital displays.

During training, we show you how to select a webpage region using its X/Y coordinates and include it in your sign's message rotation. For example, you could display a weather reading for five seconds between your other slides. Website access, page layout and controller compatibility affect what can be displayed.

LED Sign Programming Software and Content Creation

The content management system (CMS) is the software you use to manage and publish messages on your electronic message center. Sunburst's open-architecture approach lets you create content with Microsoft PowerPoint®, CorelDRAW®, Adobe Photoshop® or other familiar graphics software, then export it in a format supported by your sign's programming system.

Our SignProgrammer™ cloud system is hosted in the United States and lets you manage your sign from a computer with internet access. With a connected sign, you can create content, publish updates and manage schedules remotely without installing special programming software on each accessing computer.

Keep a Stand-Alone Programming Option

We also provide a link to download stand-alone programming software for safekeeping. With a compatible local connection, you can program your sign directly without relying on cloud access. Keep the software and your login information available to authorized staff.

How Your Computer Connects to Your LED Sign

We help select and configure the connection that fits your building, sign location and network.

Wi-Fi and Wireless Communication Bridges

A wireless connection allows a nearby programming computer to communicate with the sign. A point-to-point wireless bridge can extend the connection between your building's network and the sign when distance or placement limits Wi-Fi coverage.

Wired Network Connection

A network cable connects the sign to your building's network or programming computer. We recommend a properly installed wired connection when practical for a reliable link between the building and display.

Cloud Access over the Internet

Connect your sign to the internet to publish content and manage programming remotely through the cloud system. Your IT staff can help establish the appropriate network access during setup.

Cellular Connectivity

A cellular connection is an option for locations with suitable mobile coverage where building internet is unavailable. Ask your representative about compatible cellular equipment, SIM cards and data-service requirements.

Free Initial Setup: Laptop or Wireless Communication Bridge

For a limited time, each Sunburst LED sign purchase includes your choice of a laptop with programming software installed or a wireless communication bridge. Your sales representative will help determine which option suits your location and confirm the current offer.

Option 1: Laptop for On-Site Programming

Receive a laptop with our CMS software installed and configured for your sign. Create and store slides on the laptop, then connect to the sign over Wi-Fi to publish within range. Local programming is useful where internet access is unavailable.

Option 2: Wireless Bridge for Cloud-Based Programming

Receive a wireless communication bridge linking the sign to your building's network. Working with your IT personnel, we configure the connection so you can create and publish messages remotely. The offered bridge has a stated line-of-sight range of up to two miles; actual performance depends on installation conditions, obstructions and interference.

Both setup options can be provided for an additional fee.

How do I change the message on my Sunburst LED sign?

Create or upload a slide in your programming system, review it, then publish it to your connected sign. You can also schedule the message to appear at a selected time.
